Teaching Assistants & Learning Support Staff – Opportunities Across Cumbria

Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, Hannett Hale Recruitment is seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals to join our team of education support staff.

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants, Senior Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in primary and secondary schools across Cumbria.

Job Details:

Assignments may include:

  • Providing classroom support to teachers and pupils.
  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis.
  • Working with pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs.
  • Assisting children with additional learning, emotional, or behavioural needs.
  • Supporting within Early Years, Primary, and Secondary settings.
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable, although not essential for all roles.
  • Reliability and flexibility.
  • The ability to travel to schools within a reasonable distance.

Additional Information

  • Term-time working only.
  • No minimum contracted hours.
  • Opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply to long-term placements.
  • Ideally, candidates will have availability for 2-5 days per week, although all applications will be considered.
  • Applicants should be contactable by phone and may occasionally be required to work at short notice.
