Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for Pupil with Additional Needs) – Keswick

This is a full-time opportunity starting in September, providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs and has the potential to become an ongoing position for the right candidate.

About this Teaching Assistant role

Job Details:

Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you will provide tailored support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to fully access the curriculum and engage positively in school life. You will play an important role in supporting the pupil’s academic progress, social development and emotional wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with additional needs, either within a school or a similar setting.
  • Be patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Demonstrate a calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
  • Be confident supporting learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or have suitable experience (desirable but not essential).
