Year 1 Teacher – Penrith – Full Time

In this role, you will:

• Take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and high‑quality teaching
• Be actively involved in planning, preparation and assessment
• Work closely with and support Teaching Assistants within the classroom
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN
• Create a positive, nurturing and well‑managed classroom environment
• Contribute to the wider life of this high‑achieving school and uphold all safeguarding and school policies

To be considered, you must have:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 experience desirable)
• Strong classroom management and a proactive, flexible approach
• An understanding of SEN and how to support diverse learning needs
• Confidence in taking on the full responsibilities of a class teacher
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and early development
• ECTs are welcome to apply
