Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Year 3 Pupil

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child’s school experience. You will work closely with a Year 3 pupil throughout the school day, supporting their learning, emotional wellbeing, and engagement with classroom activities.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil’s learning within the classroom environment.
• Recognise when the pupil may need movement breaks, changes of activity, or time away from the classroom.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Support the pupil in managing emotional and physical frustration when required.
• Work closely with class teachers and other school staff to ensure the pupil receives consistent support.
• Promote the pupil’s confidence, independence and inclusion within school life.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Calm, patient and nurturing
• Confident working with children with additional needs, particularly Autism
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Resilient and capable of managing challenging situations with compassion and professionalism
• Flexible, proactive and able to use their initiative
• Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential

Previous experience supporting children with SEND, Autism, SEMH, or behavioural needs would be highly advantageous.
